Scheme Overview

The Government of Uttar Pradesh implements two concurrent initiatives. Kanya Vidya Dhan provides a one‑time grant of ₹30,000 to meritorious female students who have cleared the Uttar Pradesh Board intermediate examination, to support higher‑education expenses. Chief Minister Abhyudaya Yojana establishes a network of Abhyudaya coaching centres across all district headquarters, offering free physical and digital classes, study material, mock examinations and tablet assistance to candidates who have qualified the state‑level screening test for civil services, engineering or medical entrance examinations.

Implementation Mechanism

Coaching centres are operated by the Department of Higher Education in partnership with selected NGOs and private entities. Classes are conducted in both offline (classroom) and online (e‑learning) modes, with periodic assessments to monitor progress. The scheme is funded through the State Education Budget and monitored by the Chief Minister’s Office.

1. Register on the official Abhyudaya portal (https://abhyuday.up.gov.in) and upload required academic documents.
2. Submit the Kanya Vidya Dhan application through the District Inspector of Schools, attaching the Class 12 mark sheet and domicile certificate.
3. Upon verification, the grant amount is transferred directly to the applicant’s bank account and coaching enrolment is confirmed via SMS.
